The ability to listen, provide compassionate care and educate his patients are all values that Dr. Jarrell holds highly and are some of the driving forces in his practice. His goals are to partner with his patients, to listen carefully to their concerns and to provide treatments that are specifically tailored to each individual and their goals. Plastic surgery is the marriage between form and function. At its essence, it is a true art and should not be viewed as “cookie-cutter” surgery. Dr. Jarrell also strives to provide effective and safe care with the highest degree of attention to detail and to the individual.

Dr. Jarrell is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery which is the only plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

He received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, with the recognition of highest distinction (Summa Cum Laude). He earned his medical degree and served his general surgery residency and fellowship for burn surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis-home to one of the busiest level one-trauma centers in the southeast. He served his plastic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga, completing various research publications in breast reconstruction.

After practicing for a period of time in South Carolina, he subsequently relocated to Boise and has been practicing here since 2017.  The practice is conveniently located at the center of the Treasure Valley to serve patients from Boise, Meridian, Star, Eagle and Caldwell.   The practice and hospitals where Dr. Jarrell is on staff are also centrally located for Idaho so that areas such as Ketchum, Sun Valley and Twin Falls have access to plastic surgery services.

He performs cosmetic surgery of the breast, body and face. His special interests include aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the breast and all aspects of body contouring. He also provides a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures throughout the body including but not limited to breast (augmentation, lift, reduction and breast cancer reconstruction), body (tummy tuck and liposuction as well as post weight loss body contouring procedures) and facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Jarrell’s background in reconstructive surgery gives him the strongest foundation possible for solving various cosmetic surgical challenges.

In addition to being a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, he is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Jarrell is currently on staff at the following hospitals: Treasure Valley Hospital, St. Luke’s Medical Center-Boise, St. Luke’s-Meridian, and West Valley Medical Center.
